Singapore Gallery iPreciation Reopens in New Premise



One of the stalwarts of the art gallery scene in Singapore,iPreciation is reopening this week in its new location on Cuscaden Road.

Run by the Shanghai-born, Hong Kong-raised gallery owner Helina Chan, iPreciation has built a reputation, since it opened in 2003 for promoting contemporary Asian art and is sole representative in South-east Asia of artists such as Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming and Nobel laureate and Chinese ink painter Gao Xingjian.
still being installed in the spacious new gallery, with large statues from Ju Ming’s Taichi and World series comfortably set in the space without competing for attention with paintings by Goh Beng Kwan and Milenko Prvacki.
A grand opening is planned for February 27th with a special exhibition titled ‘Cascadence: Singapore Redux’ that will feature the work of seven renowned Singapore artists — Qwek Wee Chew, Goh Beng Kwan, Milenko Prvacki, Suzann Victor, Lee Wen, Michael Lee, and Tay Bak Chiang.
The exhibition is curated by Joanna Lee, who specializes in Modern and Contemporary South-East Asian Art.
