The Triennale Design Museum will be presenting a new edition of the exhibition “O’Clock: time design, design time” at the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing Mar 7-Apr 10.
Curated by Silvana Annicchiarico and Jan van Rossem, the exhibition will explore the relationship between time and design and it has been organised in partnership with Officine Panerai, which will also present an installation devoted to the design of its watches.
A similar exhibition was first held in Milan in 2011, and included works by Louise Bourgeois, Kiki van Eijk, John Cage, Damien Hirst,Kouichi Okamoto, Marcel Wanders, to name a few. The Beijing show will include an expanded and updated selection of works, including some by Chinese artists and designers.
The wide-ranging display of original site-specific works, installations, design objects, works of art, and videos by international artists and designers will seek to answer questions such as: “How is time measured?”, “How can passing time be shown?”, and “How can time be experienced?”
