The Royal Academy of Art (RA) is spreading its wings to Asia with the opening of a major travelling exhibition of contemporary art works in Singapore on September 14. Entitled “Encounter: The Royal Academy in Asia,” the exhibition will present about 90 artworks by 24 Royal Academicians and 25 prominent artists from Asia across a variety of styles and in different media. It will then move on to the Cultural Village Foundation Katara, in Doha from December 6 to March 6, 2013, before possibly a third location next year – yet to be confirmed.
