Unique Inking Chronograph 1825 (open view) |
"Writing Time" is a travelling exhibition organized by the prestigious Musée international d’horlogerie, La Chaux-de-Fonds, with the support of Montblanc. It is set to take place at Montblanc flagship boutique at Mandarin Gallery from October 6 – 9.
The first chronograph patent was issued to Nicolas Rieussec in 1822 – but that was only the beginning of a process of experimentation and development that continues to the present day. The first adjustments were presented in 1825 in a more portable form showing hours, minutes, seconds and even a fifth of a second.

The exhibition will showcase over 30 historic chronographs, alond with the Montblanc Nicholas Rieussec Chronograph, which was launched in 2008 by the brand as a tribute to the ingenious watchmaker.
The exhibition is opened to the public from 11am to 9pm daily.
