Filipino designer Joey Samson sent a very cohesive and beautiful menswear collection, full of elegant twists on classics. The designer re-appropriated classics fabrics like plaid, mixed and matched stripes and checks fabrics on a long coat and updated the Filipino barong shirt, making it very contemporary. There were interesting cuts on the front of jackets, a cropped jacket with a tail along the back, some eye catching white knitwear. Some of the suit designs were so close to the body, they almost looked corsets. Overall the designer tried to update the shapes of the traditional jackets, playing with proportions and putting emphasis on the midriff.
