Dire Patterns, an exhibition of works by Antipas Delotavo, just opened at the National University of Singapore museum. The Filipino artist’s long-standing practice is marked by a commitment toward social realism. In his new series, Delotavo looks at the impact of capitalism. I especialy like "Nature of the Beast" where a golden Wall Street-style bull threatens to charge into a quite room, where an artist plays at his piano, maybe a reflection on the impact of rising auction prices on artistic practices and the lure for artis to follow the money and pander to collectors tastes?
