"Iconography," Kim Joong-sik's first solo exhibition in Hong Kong, is running through May 13 at Moon Gallery. The exhibit features the artist's latest paintings, which display a strong mixture of east and west. The Korean artist fills his canvases with close-up of pop culture icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, along with characters from various famous paintings. But their images are made of innumerable tiny dots, as he tied to navigates the gap between real and virtual.
