Now in its sixth season, the Mosaic Music Festival is one of two music events in Singapore one should not miss (the other being the Singapore Sun Festival in the fall). The 10-day festival offers an eclectic range of music from jazz to blues, hip-hop, world, funk, electronica, indie .. the list goes on. I’ve attended each year and have always been impressed by the quality of the acts on offer. Plus walking around the Esplanade during the festival always gives a special buzz, there is real energy in the air. This year we can look forward to performances by R&B Babyface, top jazz cat Branford Marsalis, a special concert of old-world tango and the Norwegian indie-folk duo Kings of Convenience.
