Christie's sale of Japanese and Korean Art didn't fair as well as one could have expected in the current boombing environment. The New York sale achieved $4.39 million with only 63% of lots sold (69% sold by value). The top lot was a rare and important blue and white jar, Joseon Dynasty (18th century), which achieved $662,500, above its estimate.
